However you journey to Tahiti and her islands, you will land at the Faaa International Airport on the main island of Tahiti, near her capital city of Papeete. "International" is used loosely here. Once through Customs, your greeter will adorn you with a fresh flower lei and assist you with your transfer; be it to the domestic air terminal or your hotel - you will be on your way to your adventure before you know it.

An Exotic Wedding Fijian Style

What could be more exotic than to marry your beloved at sunset on a one-quarter mile white sand beach on a remote tropical island?
I recently had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Vatulele Island Resort in Fiji. I arrived to the island from Nadi International Airport via a 30 minute light aircraft flight, and immediately knew that this was going to be a very special experience. Greeted by smiling, happy faces - and a chilled fruit punch drink, I was spirited away to my beachfront bure (boo-ray). Chilled champagne, a generous fresh fruit platter and lovely tropical flowers strewn around my bure (villa) set the tone. The resort accommodates a maximum of 18 couples, with each spacious thatched roof bure set back off the beach for maximum privacy.

Finally got around to checking the email.....we are in Wanaka at the moment on our way to Milford Sound area....Sydney was FABULOUS!
Anyhoo, so far Milford Sound got the big thumb's up from the entire crew, we stayed at a lovely Motel in Te Anau whose proprietor found us a lovely motel in Queenstown, so all was mighty well! Both places were 1 or 2 bedroom with full kitchen and right on the lake! wheeee
Queenstown was fun, Wanaka was beautiful and Arrowtown had the best pies we have tasted.
